We checked our deer cameras today. They both had a total of 12 photos. However all we got that wasn't trees and leaves, was one deer butt. We reset them with some minor adjustments to their positions and will hope for the best next week. I will post them when they come in.
I think the deer butt has potential. Just wish we could've seen the head.

I was never really a hunter or an outdoorsy kind of person until I met my future husband, who was all of that and more. He took me hunting with him and I was introduced to an entirely new world. It wasn't about the thrill of killing animals for me, it was about the science behind good hunting. Tracking, baiting, stalking, waiting, waiting, waiting, and did I mention waiting. Whether you bagged an animal or not, the best part was always the story telling after each day's hunt.
For years, I would hunt with Jake, watching, listening and observing. Finally, I would get my firearm safety certificate and join in on the actual hunting part. I will share some of my adventures here.
Now I am into bowhunting. I'm a pretty good shot, but I haven't had time to go out and hunt for real until this year.
